Creating a TPS Protection Group for Boards

OptiX OSN 7500 II/7500/ OSN 3500 /1500 Configuration Guide: Creating the Network, the second steps: Configuring the Equipment Level Protection. The Huawei SDH OptiX OSN equipment supports various equipment level protection schemes, including the

TPS, 1+1 board protection, board level protection, and port protection.

Creating a TPS Protection Group for Boards

The TPS provides backup protection for the board. If the protected board fails, its services switch to the protection board.

Prerequisites

1 You must be an NM user with NE operator authority or higher.

2 The working and protection boards must be installed correctly.

Procedure                            

Step 1 In the NE Explorer, select an NE and choose Configuration > TPS Protection from the Function Tree.

Step 2 Click Create and the Create SDH TPS Protection Group dialog box is displayed.

Step 3 Select the protection board and the working board, and set the priorities in the working board list.

Step 4 Set the WTR time.

                                             

Step 5 Click OK.
