Huawei Transmission OptiX OSN 7500
II/7500/ OSN 3500/1500 Configuration Guide: Creating the Network, the second steps: Configuring the Equipment Level Protection.
The OptiX OSN equipment supports various equipment level protection schemes,
including the
TPS, 1+1 board
protection, board level protection, and port protection.
Link aggregation
allows all the members in a LAG to share incoming and outgoing service loads,
increasing bandwidth. In addition, the members in the LAG provide dynamic
backup for each other, providing more reliable connections.
Prerequisites
1 You must be an
NM user with NE operator authority or higher.
2 The slave port
cannot be configured with services.
3 The Ethernet
ports configured in a LAG must work in full-duplex mode and at the same
rate.
4 An Ethernet
port and a VCTRUNK port cannot be configured into the same LAG.
Procedure
Step 1 In the NE Explorer, select the required Ethernet board and choose
Configuration > Ethernet Interface Management > Ethernet Link Aggregation
Management from the Function Tree.
Step 2 Click the Link Aggregation Group Management tab, and then click New. In
the Create Link Aggregation Group dialog box that is displayed, set the
required parameters.
Step 3 Click OK. In the dialog box that is displayed, click Close.
Step 4 Optional: Click the Link Aggregation Parameters tab. Set Port Priority
and System
Priority.
NOTE
1 A port ID
consists of Port and Port Priority. The port that has the smallest port ID in a
LAG is always aggregated first.
2 A system ID
consists of System Priority and System MAC Address. When a system negotiates
with the remote system, the system with the smallest system ID can always
choose the port to be aggregated first. In this example, the system refers to
the board, and accordingly the system MAC address refers to the MAC address of
the board. The factory-set MAC address is globally unique and cannot be modified.

Deleting a LAG
1 When the LAG on
the equipment on one side is deleted, the services carried by the LAG
are interrupted
and the LAG_DOWN alarm is reported.
2 When the LAGs
on the interconnected equipment on both sides are deleted at the same
time, the
services are interrupted during the deletion. The services, however, are
restored
after the
deletion.
